Golden type (light brown), which is this color due to the type of planting site and the younger age of the palm, has a milder and weaker taste than the dark type. Piarom Palm
This date tree has good resistance to soil salinity, that’s why it is planted in a good area. Of course, not all of the dates planted are of high quality and first class, and the weather and soil conditions are very influential. The tree needs time to reach the yielding age and sometimes it takes up to 10 years to bear fruit.
Flowering & Harvesting
Since the areas where Piarom dates are planted are cooler than other date-growing areas, it takes more time to harvest the fruit. Due to the longer time, the humidity of this date is less. This data is ready to be harvested at the end of September, according to the climate of the cultivation area, which lasts until the beginning of November.
Cultivation Site
In the south of Iran, in Hormozgan province, Haji Abad village, there is a hilly area where this type of date is cultivated.
