Production & Harvesting of Gantar Dates
Gantar date is cultivated in different regions of the southern provinces of Iran. Some of these regions are Khuzestan (Shadegan, Khorramshahr, Abadan, Ahvaz, and Behbahan), Borazjan, Ahrim, Kazeroon, Hajiabad, and Darab. It is harvested several times a year from the tree. this type is one of the late-ripening dates. The harvest time of these dates depends on the place of planting, but it usually starts at the end of September. Therefore these dates can be considered a product of Iran’s autumn season.
How to store Gantar dates?
Gantar dates are easy to store because they are semi-dry. Keep these dates in a dry, cool place away from sunlight. The ideal temperature for storing these dates is between 0 and 12 degrees Celsius. The storage time of this date is also about one year.
